For cough or vomiting due to phlegm-dampness, marked by cough with much whitish sputum which is easy to expectorate, fullness and choking sensation in the chest, nausea and vomiting, lassitude, or dizziness and palpitation, greasy whitish tongue. The classical formula "Er Chen Tang" (Two Cured Decoction) is primarily used to resolve phlegm by drying internal dampness and regulating the function of the spleen and the stomach in cases of damp-phlegm syndrome. It is a basic recipe for treating phlegm syndrome and can be modified or combined with other formulas to treat various kinds of such syndrome.

Actions: Drying dampness, resolving phlegm, promoting the flow of qi and regulating the middle-energizer.
Indications: It is indicated for cough or vomiting due to phlegm-dampness, marked by cough with much whitish sputum which is easy to expectorate, fullness and choking sensation in the chest, nausea and vomiting, lassitude, or dizziness and palpitation, greasy whitish fur and smooth pulse. It is applicable to such diseases with much whitish sputum as chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, chronic gastritis, vomiting of pregnancy and neurotic vomiting, and others that are caused by phlegm-dampness.*
Directions: Take 8 pills 3 times a day as a herbal supplement.

二陈丸是根据传统名方“二陈汤”制造的现代中药浓缩丸。二陈汤源于宋代《大平惠民和剂局方》，由法半夏、陈皮、茯苓、甘草组成。全方具有燥湿化痰、理气和中之意。二陈的由来是半夏和陈皮以陈旧者佳。 故名二陈。
本品适用痰湿咳嗽，其表现为咳嗽反复发作，咳声重浊，痰多，因痰而嗽，痰粘稠或稠厚成块，色白或带灰色，每于早晨或食后咳甚痰多，常伴有胸闷，脘痞。舌苔白腻，脉濡滑。临床上常用二陈丸治疗因痰湿困脾所引起的胃气不舒、咳嗽痰盛、恶心呕吐等症。
本方加减，广泛用于慢性支气管炎、慢性胃炎、消化道溃疡、神经性呕吐、神经衰弱、甲状腺肿及小儿流涎等病。
